With a musical style self-coined as "Jazz-n-Roll", a Jazz approach to Rock and Soul music, Days Ahead's recorded material and live performances will take you on a jamband ride of sonic sounds and emotions as Steve & Kim duo, or with their ensemble, leap musical landscapes from jazz to rock to gospel to soul in a seconds notice, with a nod to folk and reggae, on a visceral yet cerebral musical playground, while stretching and twisting the songs into their special arrangements of meter changes, extended forms and improvisation; all while maintaining the groove and one cohesive voice. Their songs are about the human condition, seeking to understand one’s purpose (Self), seeing the aesthetics of diversity which can naturally unveil similarities, all in the name of love. These sentiments and emotions are echoed through their use of harmony, rhythm, melody and lyrics.
Steve & Kim share their story through their music, a multi-cultural sense of expressive love and life. Music is their bridge to communication and action, their cause to movement. The “Jazz-n-Roll” Movement…built on the rich history of cultural, generational, gender, & genre-bridge gapping of the ancestors. “Jazz-n-Roll” is a musical gumbo!
It is Steve & Kim's mission to spread their music throughout the US and around the globe as performers, teaching artists, and MUSIC HEALTH HEALERS.

Reviews
Contemporary Jazz (Rob Young)
"Turning Point by DaysAhead features the compelling voice of Kim Wright and energetic artistry of guitarist Steve Wright...a near perfect marriage artistically...high energy music with lyrical substance that rocks embroidered with the fabric of jazz, soul and occasional Latin influences."
Rockwired (Brian Lush)
"DaysAhead's sound is the combination of vocalist Kim Wright's impressive command of that indefinable voice that goes from gospel, to soul, to jazz and to rock in a seconds notice; and the dexterity of guitarist and partner-in-crime Steve Wright. Who knew such sounds, textures, and imagination could come from just six strings."
Funjunkiez (Alfie da Funkjunky)
"DaysAhead deliberately seeks to cross the genre boundaries...touching, emotive and walks the line between jazz and soul quite sublimely...strong and vibrant and catchy...excellent musicians and a great vocal talent...remind you of The Brand New Heavies."
Jazz-not-Jazz (Dirk Binsau)
"DaysAhead's own blend of soul, funk and rock is a welcome breath of fresh air...a distinctive sound that’s left field from the soul mainstream in a refreshing way."
RhythmFlow (Michael Heyliger)
"DaysAhead revives the spirit of the golden era of bands from the 70's & 80's...an air-tight band and a bewitching front woman."

"DaysAhead got rave reviews from everybody on the Atlanta BeltLine. They truly rocked with hot guitar solos, and a rhythm section with deep soul. Kim holds nothing back in her vocals and has the chops to pull it off."

"Special Guest DaysAhead has a jazz-rock-soul sound all their own...this band brought good music crossing all ages, genders, and cultures. It's what the people, young and old, want and need to hear."
