Tai Chi and Vocal Toning classes are taught individually or in a joint workshop. Class or workshop lengths range from one hour to three hours. Over the years, we've studied how music affects our personal lives and the lives of those close to us. These people include our family, friends, students, and fans. Our graduate research led us to delve deeper into the holistic practice of the two art forms linked to this page, Tai Chi and Vocal Toning.
Steve Wright has been studying and practicing Tai Chi and Qigong for over 8 years, and is certified in Traditional Tai Chi Ch'uan study. He has been teaching Yang style Tai Chi and Qigong for 6 years. Steve has over 26 years professional working experience as electric and acoustic guitarist, and 18 years experience teaching private and group guitar lessons. His extensive educational and work performance background includes an MMus Performance (guitar) degree from London College of Music, graduating with honors of distinction, completion of undergraduate studies in Jazz Guitar at University of North Texas, and he is currently working on his PhD in Guitar Performance with a research emphasis on Tai Chi and health and spiritual concepts for musicians. Steve founded and led the UWL Tai Chi Society club at University of West London, UK. He currently teaches privately and at community health and music centers in metro Atlanta, GA.
Kim Wright has been studying and practicing Vocal Toning and sound healing for 6 years, and has been teaching Vocal Toning for health and performance for 3 years. Kim has over 25 years professional working experience as a vocalist, and 13 years experience teaching private and group vocal and piano lessons. Her extensive educational and work performance background includes an MMus Performance (vocals) degree from London College of Music, graduating with honors of distinction, and a B.S. Counseling degree from Southern University BR, graduating cum laude. Kim is currently working on her PhD in Vocal Performance with a research emphasis on Vocal Toning and Distinctive Resonant Tones of Vocal Harmonics to not only enhance the singing voice and quality of performance, but also to contribute to improving overall health and well-being. She currently teaches privately and at community music centers in metro Atlanta, GA.
